Bright Totes for you!...

In a quilt shop, you meet some very talented people!

One such person, Shari, is showcasing some bags she has made from Mrs P's fabrics tomorrow, (Sat) from 10am to 1 pm.  If you get the chance, drop in and say, hello!

All the bags are modestly priced at $25.

They are all very unique and make excellent totes for spring/summer!

This past Wednesday, the Canadian Quilters' Association/ACC was at Mrs P's with their Cross Canada Travelling Quilt Show, 'It'sTime for Colour!'  A big kudos to Dorinda McCully, the NS representative of the CQA/ACC, for bringing the show to Amherst!

There were 18 quilts on show and all but 2 of them were sold.  Check out http://www.canadianquilter.com for info on how to purchase and the schedule!

The details on these art quilts were exquisite and they saturated with colour!

Also of note : coming the last Tuesday of the month, is an evening seminar - Introduction to Bargello.  Bargello is a type of quilts that have a wave like pattern and look very difficult!  I have been assured when you learn to read a Bargello pattern, they are much easier than they look!  I will post more info on this evening a bit later.  There is no charge, but you do need to 'register' so I can set a chair out for you. :). Email is the easiest but telephoning or dropping in will work, too.  This is an information class only.  If there is enough interest from the floor that evening ... a class/workshop may be set up.
