Quick Update for today!

I'm pleased to report that we are in and open this morning!  The Moda sale originally planned for Fri & today, is continued one more 1/2 day: Tues from 1pm till 4 pm because of the storm.

So, there's no need to get out on bad roads or to rush your shovelling!

Moda Sale continues until Tues!...

The Moda Sale is/was a bit disrupted by Mother Nature having a snow storm hit Nova Scotia today.   This is not all bad news!  Mrs P's will hold the Moda Sale of 10$/m  (some conditions apply) on Tuesday as well!

Saturdays' opening time will be dependant on when I get myself dug out and then also the walk shovelled at Mrs P's.  Open hours are scheduled for 10 am to 1pm - so if its blowing and lots of snow to shift, we may not get in.  We will keep you posted!

No matter which way Sat goes- we will continue the Moda Sale on Tuesday!

On a somewhat related note, we are currently unable to accept interact/debit cards, until next week but are still able to process Visa/Mastercard and

A New Year, A New Start!...

Welcome back!

Remember the blog on making 8 half square triangles (HSTs) from 10 inch squares?- those have been made into a quilt top!

That blog was in August 2015.  I'm not sure it was going to be a quilt top- it started as an exercise in making HSTs; so it's impressive that it's gotten to a top!

Mrs P's now has a twitter account: @MrsPsAmherst

and a Facebook account:

I've been experimenting with those accounts. Not always with success, but all is part and parcel of the business.  The business, is now in it's 3rd year as a quilt shop! October 2013 was the official start of the ride!  Thank you to all of those who have been with us since our start (and those in Clare that allowed me to visit in May 2013!) and welcome to the newer faces!

In August, Jackie came to work full time and we are hoping to have a few in house demonstrations and if all goes well- a workshop or two!  If there is something you would like us to do, please email or drop in and see us.

Have a wonderful 2016!
