We have a lot of boxes that arrived and we are slowly getting into them!
Tonights fun fabric choice is New to Us......Kona Cotton Solids! So far, we only have a few bolts but more are expected and to be fair, we also have Michael Miller Solids.
Introducing in Kona...
Steel, Snow, Citrus, Black, White and peeking there on the right, Old Green.
Old Green on the bottom, Cocoa in the middle and Nautical on the top.
We are expecting a shade card soon and a few more bolts. I think there are 300+ colours, so we went with a few basics to start.
Bad news...The Fabric Bead Demo and Pop Up Shop showcasing some paper beads and other Paper Fibre Art is cancelled at Mrs P's for tomorrow!
The weather forecast is for snow, freezing rain and rain. As the lady comes up from Halifax, we decided to cancel the planned event for tomorrow and we will reschedule for a later date... one with less chances of bad weather.
Mrs P's will be open tomorrow from 10am until 4pm ..weather permitting ... just without the Pop Up Shop event.
We have 2 & 1/2 inch rolls of Australian Aboriginal Designs rolls of fabric currently in stock...Dreamtime Rolls.
There are 3 colour ways: red, black and a fun mixed one but they are hard to see in their rolls. We opened a package...and that turned into opening all the packages!
They are quite lovely! I liked them all! Seeing some staggered style quilts on youtube (Missouri Star Quilt Company) and the internet, I made a very long but skinny quilt top! I may still need to adjust the length as it is around 10 feet long!
Now to get it pressed and make sure it will fit where we have planned!
If you are around on March 9th (Wed), Diann McDonald will be in showing how she makes beads from fabric. She is also planning a Pop-Up Shop of some of her paper jewelry and other fibre art that she creates. She will be in from 10:30am until 2:30/3pm.

Someone called during posted shop hours and I did not answer. I'm very sorry about that. I do not have a message machine. Again, my apologies.
Today, we are cleaning up the snow after receiving quite a bit. I have one set of steps shovelled currently and am in the process of cleaning the second set off. I am near or in the building until 1pm today, if you are wondering about open hours. The shop is open, but on a bit of a 'storm' schedule.

Another snowstorm is scheduled for tomorrow- Friday, so Mrs P's & our Friday guest of Karen Neary, have been able to reschedule her Freemotion Quilting Demo with Aurifil thread and her Pop Up Aurifil Shop to next Friday, Feb 12 from 10am until 2 pm.
Our sincerest apologies for cancelling this Friday. We hope you are able to drop in and see Karen and enjoy the demonstration at it's newly scheduled day!

I'm pleased to report that we are in and open this morning! The Moda sale originally planned for Fri & today, is continued one more 1/2 day: Tues from 1pm till 4 pm because of the storm.
So, there's no need to get out on bad roads or to rush your shovelling!
